Our first book Turner’s House

A photographic study of light and dark, set in the house designed and built by JMW Turner. The nature of the work was reflected in the choice of materials; a range of coloured papers – running from white, through greys to black – were used for covers, endpapers and chapter dividers. A limited number of books were also presented in a custom-made box including four C-type prints.You can view the full project Turner’s House

This book was the first book designed printed and bound and was used to set up the publishing website Format Editions that provides design print and binding to artists that want to self publish high quality bespoke books in small quantities.
